Łucja Hawking

Actress & Storyteller

Łucja Hawking is a British-Polish actress, writer, and human rights storyteller known for portraying women who are unmistakable and unapologetic.

Born in Warsaw and raised in the UK, Łucja brings a dual cultural perspective, and a healthy respect for strong tea, to her work. She graduated from the Beck Academy of Dramatic Arts in 2024.

Łucja is drawn to characters with authority and edge: women who carry moral weight, challenge systems, and occasionally deliver a line with surgical precision. While much of her work explores injustice, resilience, and identity, she is equally committed to finding the humanity and often the humour, inside intensity. After all, even revolutionaries have a sense of timing.

Łucja has a prominent port-wine stain birthmark, which she proudly embraces as part of her unmistakable presence. On screen and off, she is drawn to stories about women who refuse invisibility and she brings depth, warmth, and just enough mischief to make them feel alive.

Outside of acting, Łucja is a human rights campaigner specialising in hope-based storytelling. She has worked with organisations including Amnesty International and René Cassin, using narrative as a tool for change. She also hosts the podcast The Human Frame, exploring identity, justice, and the complicated, brilliant business of being human.

Alongside Jessica Hardern, Faith Lovell, and Janet Law, she co-founded Qualia Gap Films, a production company focused on bold, character-driven storytelling. Her work as a filmmaker centres on emotional truth, flawed protagonists, and stories that refuse to look away, but always with hope at their core.

She speaks English and Polish fluently, Russian at a basic level, and is based in London.
